The first carriageway of the new section of the A45 Coventry Road that has been
built between the Clock roundabout and the Damson Parkway junction adjacent
to Birmingham Airport and Junction 6 of the M42 has opened to traffic.... |

| .... while work continues on linking up the second carriageway of the A45 all traffic is
using the westbound lanes which run around the site of the Runway Extension

| .... re-joining the existing road by Birmingham Airport's new Air Traffic Control Tower |

Work is now in progress removing the old road so both carriageways of the new section
of the A45 can be joined up with completion scheduled for Monday 12 August 2013 |
